Cluster Grouping in one of many strategies designed to meet the learning needs of gifted students. Time Magazine published an article in 2007 (link below) describing another method aimed at serving gifted kids- a special school designed for the highly gifted in Reno, Nevada. While this article does not directly discuss Cluster Grouping, the author does encourage local schools to develop strategies to appropriately challenge Gifted students. Do you think the author would support the implementation of the Cluster Group Model as a way to meet the learning needs of Gifted students in the local school?
Research on Cluster Grouping in response to Daniel's post. This article appeared in "Gifted Child Quarterly" in 1999, but is still a worthwhile read. Enjoy!
