Sometimes as teachers I think we do too much for our students, rather than allowing them to do the work. If teachers can learn to serve as a &quot;guide on the sidelines&quot; rather than the keeper of all knowledge, students will begin to accept more responsibility for their role in the learning process. This is definitely a strategy I could see working for all students.
